See during Caravana: the California T6.1.

Volkswagen launched the California T6.1. in 2019. Not with mega changes, but with small improvements that make the already beloved camper van even better. This new California can be admired during Caravana 2020 in Leeuwarden.

The exterior of the California T6.1. can be recognized by the front with new headlights, a new bumper, and new side panels. The rear has differently arranged taillights. The interior shows the biggest difference. The completely new dashboard allows for larger navigation screens. Additionally, a digital dashboard is available.

Electronic steering system

Technically, the biggest difference is that this generation of Transporter has a fully electronic steering system. This system suddenly enables numerous safety options, such as Park Assist, Lane Assist, and Trailer Assist.

The camper section has had an update with new colors, cabinet handles, and a cover plate. On the bed under the pop-top roof, a slatted base makes way for dishes. This increases sleeping comfort. Furthermore, the camper display has been replaced by a full-color touchscreen.
