On display during Caravana: the California T6.1.

Volkswagen has the California T2019 in 6.1. brought on the market. Not with major changes, but with small improvements that make the already beloved camper van even better. This new California can be admired during Caravana 2020 in Leeuwarden.

The exterior of the California T6.1. can be recognized by the front with new headlights, a new bumper and new side screens. The rear has differently arranged taillights. The inside shows the biggest difference. The completely new dashboard makes larger navigation screens possible. A digital dashboard is also available.

Electronic steering rack

Technically, the biggest difference is that this generation of Transporter has a fully electronic steering rack. This system suddenly makes numerous safety options possible, such as Parking Assistant, Lane Assistant, and Trailer Assistant.

The camper section has been updated with new colors, cupboard handles and a cover plate. On the bed under the lifting roof, a slatted base makes room for dishes. This increases sleeping comfort. Furthermore, the camper display has been replaced by a full-color display with a touchscreen.

The California T6.1. has a fully electronic steering rack.
