Tour Mobil 600: innovative Slovenian
Tourne Mobil is a relatively new Slovenian producer of bus campers that offer more than the usual. That is not in a shiny finishing edge of the cupboard doors or in an extra wild sticker on the outside. The Tourne Bus Camper based on Peugeot is characterized by an attractive interior full of smarts. We look at the Tourne Mobil 600, an appearance that deserves to be seen and an overcomplete standard delivery with even more extras.
The Tourne Mobil 600 is designed for comfortable camping even in Scandinavian regions. In addition, the motorhome is designed by a designer who has made his mark in the sailboat world. This is clearly visible on both the outside and inside of the Tourne Camper.
With windows falling flat into the body, black accents around the wheel arches, and shutters next to a sleek wrap on both sides, the novice doesn't scream it's a camper van. Instead, there is an attractive appearance in front of your nose where a case of "love at first sight" is lurking. When you then consider the interior, the chance of this becoming even greater.

Light and airy.
The interior is made of 11mm thin sheet material with poplar veneer. The table and worktop of the kitchen also have this small thickness, but are finished with an extra hard film in the same colour and grain. The core material is HPL, a heavily pressed plastic that, despite its small thickness, is dimensionally stable and feels indestructible.
The dinette of the Tourne Mobil 600 is equipped with two well-profiled seats where passengers can endure longer during the journey than with the usual penalty bench. The back absorbs forces in a bend with lumbar supports and a filler piece under the seat completes the ergonomics. When you go out with 3 or 4 people, the dinette can be converted into a bed of 180 by 112 centimeters. The double transverse bed in the back is 190 by 140 centimeters. Here you can create extra storage space by folding up the bed base.

Kitchen and sanitary facilities
For culinary purposes, the Tourne 600 has two gas burners and a sink in the kitchen unit. On the side, you can fold up an extra piece of worktop when you have something to cut. Below that, you can pull out a bench, giving you two extra seats. Together with the swivel pilot seats, you have a maximum of 6 seats around the table, which you can enlarge with a filler piece if it gets crowded. The base cabinets of the kitchen consist of drawers, the top ones of which have an extra drawer inside. More convenient than ordinary cabinets, when you open a drawer you immediately see what's inside and what you wanted to grab.
For personal care, the Tourne Mobil 600 has a spacious wet room with a fixed washbasin, shower, and toilet that would not look out of place in a Semi-integrated a meter longer. The space is closed off with a roller door. Not a plastic one, but made of high-gloss aluminum profiles, which makes it not only more beautiful but also easier to clean. The combi-cassettes for the windows are of the same ilk. No plastic housing but made of metal, so this more luxurious version is not the first thing to break.

Winter-hardy
Maneuverable, compact, and usable all year round are the best features of a camper van. With the extra insulation of 32 millimeters of Armaflex in the roof and walls and 30 millimeters of Styrofoam in the floor, that usability is well covered. This not only keeps the cold out but also the heat. The standard Webasto Airtop 4 kW diesel heater is hidden in the back under the floor. It blows warm air through five openings. Hot water is supplied via the boiler. Electric underfloor heating is also standard. The tanks are insulated and heated, allowing the camper van to pass the DIN 1646 winter hardiness test with flying colors.

On the road
Driving the Tourne 600 is a feast, but of course that applies to more bus campers on such a basis. What is striking is the difference between the more commonly used Fiat Ducato and the 2.2L diesel from PSA or Stellantis. The latter has an AdBlue feature and seems to run a little quieter, quieter and actually a little nicer.
But that can of course also be due to the generous 163 hp that this version of the Tourne Mobil 600 has to offer. Cruise control, fog lights. Air conditioning, Kenwood radio with navigation on the start or household battery, towbar, horizontal pleated blackout for the windows, it's all there by default. With a heavy chassis, the bus has a load capacity of 643kg, which means that the Tourne 600 does not always have to bear the maximum weight.
